Simpson Wood’s Golf Day was a smashing success this year, held at the picturesque Woodsome Hall on Thursday, 28th June. The event saw 32 enthusiastic competitors, organised into teams of four, vying for both team and individual prizes. The day was filled with spirited competition, laughter, and camaraderie, making it an unforgettable experience for all involved.

    A Day to Remember

From the first tee-off to the final putt, the golfers enjoyed a fantastic day under the (mostly) sunny skies of Woodsome Hall. The pristine condition of the course and the top-notch facilities added to the enjoyment and challenge of the game. A special thank you goes to Woodsome Hall for their exceptional quality and service throughout the day. Their dedication to ensuring our event ran smoothly was evident and greatly appreciated by everyone.

    Competition Highlights

The competition was fierce yet friendly, with each team and individual giving their best to take home the coveted prizes. The windy conditions in the afternoon added an extra layer of challenge, particularly as someone had decided that we should play off the white tees, a decision which sparked much discussion and good-natured debate in the Courtyard afterwards.

    Celebrating the Winners

At the end of the day, it was time to celebrate the achievements of our prize winners. Here are some snapshots of the golfers who stood out in both the team and individual categories:

    A Big Thank You

A heartfelt thank you to all the participants for making Simpson Wood’s Golf Day a resounding success. We all enjoyed spending team in each others company.

We look forward to another fantastic golf day next year, with even more fun and excitement. Until then, keep practicing your swing and working on your handicap!
