TAX MANAGER
We are also looking to recruit a Tax Manager who is self-motivated and keen to join a tax team that continues to expand its tax offering to clients, not just dealing with compliance matters but also focusing on tax planning opportunities and advisory projects.
The role will involve working closely with the current tax team to help ensure we deliver our wide range of tax services in a professional and timely manner to our clients.
The responsibilities of the successful candidate will include:
- Managing a mixed portfolio of personal tax clients (including directors, sole traders,partnerships, high net worth individuals, non-UK residents and beneficiaries of Trusts)
- Identifying tax planning opportunities
- Contributing to business development
- Engaging in special advisory projects
- Involvement in P11D submissions
- Supporting junior members of the team with their training and development and reviewing
- Tax Returns which they have prepared
- Communications with HM Revenue & Customs to seek clearance for tax strategies and to assist clients with enquiries where necessary
- Engaging with clients on a regular basis and attending client meetings
The requirements of an ideal candidate are:
- At least 3 years experience of working as a Tax Manager and managing a client portfolio
- Basic understanding in all the main areas of tax (Corporation Tax, Income Tax, Inheritance Tax, Capital Gains Tax, Stamp Duty Land Tax and VAT)
- Experience of providing technical advice an advantage
- Accountability when it comes to recording chargeable time and recoverability on tasks
- The ability to manage a diverse workload and prioritise tasks to ensure deadlines are met
- Good communication skills and IT literacy
- A full driving licence and access to a vehicle so that client meetings can be attended
Qualifications required include:
- Ideally ATT/CTA qualified
- Basic computer skills in Word and Excel
- Eligibility to work in the UK

AUDIT SENIOR
We are recruiting for someone to play a key role in our Business Services Group. We require a senior member of the team who will be responsible for conducting audits for limited company clients across a wide range of industries. Experience of charity / academy school audits would also be useful but not essential.
The responsibilities of the successful candidate will include:
- Undertaking audits of financial statements
- Training and supervision of junior team members
- Attending meetings with clients to discuss audit matters
- Preparation and production of accounts and tax computations from clients’ records
- Undertaking special assignments
- Helping to develop the business of the practice
The requirements of an ideal candidate are:
- Good numeracy and literacy skills
- Good timekeeping and an ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to work well within a team
- Minimum 5 years auditing experience
- Good communication skills
- Energetic and self-motivated
Qualifications required include:
- GCSE Maths and English (Grade C above)
- Basic computer skills in Word and Excel
- Eligibility to work in the UK
