Simpson Wood’s representative golf team failed to repeat their 2012 victory over Eaton Smith in the annual inter-profession golf match held at Huddersfield Golf Club on Friday 10 August 2013.

The ten-a-side stableford competition proved competitive but Eaton Smith played the better golf and ran out 14-11 winners to give captain Mike Webb and his team the bragging rights for the next year. This was the third time the annual event was held and Eaton Smith now lead the overall series 2-1.

All the golfers enjoyed their round, which was played in reasonably conditions, but probably enjoyed their post round drinks and meal that little bit more!

Simpson Wood’s captain Mark Fielding will now no doubt spend as much time on the golf course as possible over the next year scouting potential recruits to strengthen his team for their attempt to regain the trophy in 2014.

Congratulations to all the Eaton Smith team!
