Ed Russell

Ed is the firms Finance and operations director. His role includes the preparation of accounts and tax computations for companies, charities and partnerships, conducting statutory audits, Solicitors’ Accounts Rules work and various other special work as well as looking after our in-house finance function.

He joined us in September 2013, after obtaining a 2:1 in his Maths degree from the University of Leeds. He then went on to complete his ACA in 2016 followed his CTA in 2020.

He likes to keep active by training regularly at the gym and playing numerous sports including golf and tennis. Whenever possible he enjoys taking trips to see as many different parts of the world as he can.

Christopher joined Simpson Wood as an IT Manager in January 2021, bringing vast amount of technical experience from previous roles as well as completing computing & networking bachelor’s degree at Leeds Beckett University. He is responsible for planning, coordinating and leading computer-related activities and projects in the firm whilst simultaneously being the main point of escalation for any technological complications.

Outside of work Christopher tends to spend his time with his Fiancée (Monika), watching movies/TV shows, travelling abroad and often gets caught up playing video games for much longer than he cares to admit!
