An enjoyable evening was had by all those attending the Simpson Wood Beer Tasting which was held at the Lawrence Batley Theatre.

A selection of the firm’s clients and professional contacts gathered together to try and work out which accountant was telling the truth in the “Call my Bluff” style beer tasting.

No doubt Oz Clarke would have been delighted with references to donkeys, floral aromatics, and chestnut trees; although references to bottom fermenting beers seemed to cause more chuckling on the night.

After five rounds the victorious team was declared having scored full marks, along with the wooden spoon winner who only managed to identify one out of five!

Despite a few sore heads the day after, everyone enjoyed the event so thanks to all those who attended.
