Adam Piplica is a Financial Planner at Simpson Wood, working with clients to identify and work most effectively and appropriately to reach their financial goals. This includes regular reviews of investment portfolios and ensuring tax-efficient financial planning is in place.
A former quantitative market research analyst, he has worked in financial planning since 2014, achieving the benchmark qualification for those advising on retail investments, the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning, shortly afterwards in 2015, and is working towards Chartered status.
Outside of the office, Adam is a classical singer whose performances span oratorio, contemporary music, choral, and solo recitals, and most weekends can be found singing somewhere, predominantly in one or more of Yorkshire’s cathedrals including York Minster, but sometimes further afield, having performed in St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle, Barcelona’s Sagrada Familia, and a concert hall in Toyko, Japan.
Danny is a general practitioner, dealing with a wide range of business clients, covering a whole variety of services that they require.
He joined the firm as an accounts trainee in 1997 after graduating from York University. After qualifying in 2000 and three more years as an audit senior, he was made a partner in 2003 and became managing director in 2023. He has been involved in all areas of the business throughout his career having been in charge of audit, IT and marketing. He is also our most prolific poster on social media and is also the firm’s specialist on the audit and accounts of academy schools.
Outside of work Danny has previously studied music and four different languages, but freely admits to forgetting most of them; don’t ask him to say anything beyond “Hello” or “Two beers please” these days!
He enjoys spending time with his friends and family (wife Gill and sons Scott and Jack), attending both Huddersfield Town / Giants matches when he can. At home he enjoys cooking, and sitting down in front of the TV with the occasional glass or three of red wine!
